Off to Kamloops this weekend to celebrate Grandson Evan's 1st Birthday!  He's definitely a "boy" and is happiest playing with his trucks and cars so his party theme should be just what he likes.

Very proud of my daughter, Taylor - she graduated from the Blanche Macdonald Global Make-up & Special Effects program on May 29, 2011!  She is now doing freelance work and can be contacted through her facebook page.  I am pleased to showcase her incredible talent here and am confident that she will achieve great success in the future.

Welcome Sweet Baby "Byrd"!

My daughter Sonia is great friends with a wonderful couple, Jill & Leigh, who recently had a beautiful little girl they named Alaina.  Both Jill & Leigh gave tremendous time and effort with Sonia & Chris's wedding almost 2 years ago.  When Sonia asked me to help design the banners for Jill's surprise baby shower last Sunday I was thrilled.  Congratulations to you both & I can hardly wait to meet your baby "Byrd"!  * "Winged" version of Alaina is created from an original taken by Lisa of Milk and Honey Photography in Kamloops, BC.)

I created a name & a photo banner for new grand-daughter Stella to match the nursery and the decor from her baby shower.  These were made using photos taken by Lisa of www.milkandhoneyphotography.ca.  I had the pleasure of watching her work - she is not only an artist behind the camera ... but a true "baby whisperer"!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to ALL the Amazing Moms I Know!!

This past weekend we moved my Mom into a suite a mere 10 minutes away from us ... I am excited to spend much more time hanging out with her.  I was out of town on Mother's Day this year, and as her birthday is on the 12th of May, I also missed it.  I had been working on altering a beautiful old black and white photo of her as a gift and just want to say I think she is beautiful - inside and out!  I love you Mom!

Baby Shower For Stella Irene!

My daughter, Michelle, and her husband Corey have a beautiful new baby girl - Stella Irene!  Before her birthday, on May 9, we held a shower for them and the decor was inspired by the bedding fabric in the nursery of their new home.

So Much to Celebrate!

It is finally time for a much overdue update .... we have been very busy with birthdays, a graduation, anniversaries, and a new baby in the family!  At the end of March I went to Kamloops to help with my oldest daughter's (Michelle) baby shower.  We had a wonderful time with friends & family gathering to celebrate the impending birth of her little girl, her husband's (Corey) birthday, as well as a housewarming for their new home.  What a weekend!!  I had the opportunity to return to Kamloops a few weeks later to help prepare for Stella Irene's arrival on May 9, 2011.  My youngest daughter, Maya, turned 11 years old on May 11 and my mom, Dorothy, celebrated a birthday on May 12!  Michelle and Corey had their 1st wedding anniversary on May 23 and my sister & her husband (Leanne & Brent) had their 21st wedding anniversary on May 26.  May 29, my daughter, Taylor, graduated from the Global Make-up and Special Effects program at Blanche MacDonald & will be marking her 19th birthday on June 5th with a night out on the town with her friends.  My grandson, Evan, will be turning 1 on June 11th and we are busy planning another party!  This is what I live for - I am so blessed to have soooo much to celebrate!
